Our History

Our story began in 1998 when John McEvoy, Founder and Chief Executive, decided to enter the mobile communications industry as an authorized agent of Pacific Bell Wireless. With one location and a vision, The Mobile Solution Corporation was formed.

Under the visionary leadership of John McEvoy and a carefully selected team of executives, we quickly expanded to include the entire state of California. Today, our footprint has grown to encompass 30 states.

Our aggressive nationwide expansion plan has been fueled by our effective business model, and our Core Values.

We are an aggressive, determined company, and the direction we take in the future will be in response to our customer's needs, the resources generated from our current operations, as well as the vision set forth by our
management team.

The following is a brief outline of the history of The Mobile Solution (TMS):

1998

First locations opens up Mission Valley Mall, San Diego, CA by John McEvoy (CEO)
First employee was Brad Hunter (now VP of Operations)

1999

Multiple locations throughout San Diego and TMS expands into Los Angeles and Northern California
Numbers: 20 locations | 6 million in revenue | 177 employees

2000

NATIONAL expansion with stores opening up in the New England area, Chicago and Houston
Numbers: 75 locations | 23 million in revenue | 658 employees

2001

TMS now has a footprint encompassing 15 states.

2002

TMS Surpasses the $100 million mark in revenue!

2003

TMS doubles in revenue from 2002!
Numbers: 316 locations| 203 million in revenue | 1983 employees

2004

TMS activates nearly 1 million activations!
Numbers: 385 locations | 300 million in revenue | 2330 employees

2005

TMS signs an " Exclusive Dealer" contract with T-Mobile!
Numbers: 425 locations | 400 million in revenue | 2700 employees

2006

TMS is the largest Mall-based Wireless Retailer and continues the successful trend by adding more locations, more employees and increasing revenue.
